Twin Oaks Veterinary Hospital is a very busy mixed animal practice, located in Sparta, NC in the beautiful mountains of Northwestern North Carolina and within minutes of the New River and Blue Ridge Parkway.  Sparta is a rural location near great fishing, hunting, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, horseback riding, and all outdoor activities.  

Twin Oaks Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time associate veterinarian.   We are a true mixed animal practice with 80% small animal and 20% large animal (equine, beef, dairy and other food animals).  We have an excellent support staff with great mentorship so new graduates are encouraged to apply.  Our equipment includes portable and in house digital radiology, ultrasound, Idexx Procyte and catalyst blood machines, urinary analysis Sedivue equipment, power float, and ultrasonic scaler.  We refer very few surgeries so the opportunity to perform most soft tissue and orthopedic procedures do exist.  There is shared emergency duty between 3 doctors with a personal vehicle provided for on-site calls.  Our clinic offers a large animal barn with a chute and headgate, stocks and stalls for hospitalization. We also offer boarding and grooming services. 

We are looking for an associate who will practice modern medicine with an emphasis on practical approach. Some of the benefits we offer are fully paid health insurance, retirement, vacation as well as sick pay, all licenses are paid by the clinic, liability insurance, and all continuing education expenses.

Requirements

Aside from a regular work day 8:00-5:00 we offer emergency services, on-call would be shared among the doctors on staff, and we also offer farm calls during regular business hours.
