Looking for Veterinarians to work with animal welfare organizations in the Dixon, IL region.
Hiring Veterinarians: Open to all experience levels, including new graduates and private practice Vets curious about shelter medicine
Unique Practice Model: Provide on-site veterinary care to animal welfare organizations, reducing logistical challenges and maximizing efficiency
Compensation: $75 per hour of on-site care plus travel reimbursement

Created by a shelter Veterinarian, Shelter Vet On-the-Go was developed with both Veterinarians and animal welfare organizations in mind. By providing regularly scheduled onsite care to animal welfare organizations, we are decreasing the logistics and resources required to find offsite veterinary care while also maximizing the use of our Veterinarian time and expertise. This unique practice model encourages an efficient use of Veterinarian time in order to be able to provide the most quality care to the most animals.
We prioritize work-life balance, and are designed to allow Veterinarians the flexibility to help create their own schedule with as many or as few regularly scheduled weekly hours as they’d like.

Requirements
- A Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- A State Veterinarian License in good standing or the ability to obtain
- Ability to obtain DEA license +/- state controlled substance license
