Southwest Veterinary Hospital is a three-doctor small animal practice located in Norman, Oklahoma. We are a very fast-paced, high-volume practice looking to add to our dedicated team. We are searching for a friendly and highly motivated registered veterinary technician with a valid Oklahoma RVT license to provide exceptional care for our patients and outstanding customer service for our clients. We currently have two registered veterinary technicians and are looking to add two more.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• · Venipuncture
• · IV catheter placement
• · Obtaining patient history and assisting in exam rooms
• · Anesthesia induction
• · Monitoring
• · Recovery and surgical assisting (knowledge of sterility rules is a plus but can be taught)
• · Restraint for examinations and procedures
• · Administering vaccinations and medications
• · Caring for hospitalized patients
• · Reporting disease or symptom progression of case to doctors
• · Performing routine in-hospital diagnostics
• · Helping to ensure the highest level of facility cleanliness and general assistance around the facility.
• · Creating & updating medical records
• · Delegating and directing your assistants assigned to your service.

HIRING FOR:

• Full-time
• Weekdays and Occasional Weekend care
• Valid Oklahoma RVT License

Valid Oklahoma Veterinary Technician license.
