Description

Genetic Futures is looking to hire a full time veterinarian to add to our staff. We are a fully operating dairy farm that has a focus on dairy cattle genetics and reproduction. The person we are looking for would be helping with embryo transfer, herd health, calf health, farm protocols, and ultrasounding for pregnancy. They would also help with problem calvings and some health charting and testing for cattle that will be moving out of state/country. 

Requirements

The person for this role should have a good understanding of the workings of a dairy farm as well as ample experience in treating sick animals, especially calves. This person should also have a background in IVF/ET work as well as be proficient in ultrasounding for pregnancy. This person should also be willing to work well with a team as they will be the sounding board for a lot of things that come up throughout the day/week regarding sick animals or hard calvings, etc.
