Description
Hello. Is it me you’re looking for?
Are you a licensed DVM looking to work with a team that is as outrageously fun as they are skilled? Wonder what it would feel like to truly love going to work each day? Just ask one of the dozens of team members at Humane Fort Wayne who have worked in our dynamic and growing nonprofit animal welfare organization for years! We pride ourselves on creating a culture that is healthy so that we can help our shelter and our community’s pets be healthy, too!
What you’d be doing: If you are already a seasoned HVHQSN vet, then you will get to work right away sterilizing both shelter and owned pets. Not yet performing high volume surgery? No problem! We will invest in you and your training!
Where you’d be working: Humane Fort Wayne is Indiana’s most comprehensive animal welfare organization. We run three separate facilities, including our brand new 26,000 square foot adoption center and clinic located next to a picturesque college campus. We have existed for 75 years and continue to grow as a trusted partner providing comprehensive lifesaving resources to pets and their people.
Where you’d be living: Fort Wayne, Indiana is an upwardly mobile community that still espouses good ‘ole Midwestern values. Our community offers everything from a bustling downtown to a fabulous arts scene including our own professional ballet, art museum, and philharmonic orchestra. The Fort Wayne Zoo is a nationally acclaimed destination for all ages. Our riverfront is developing and our trail system links the entire city. Like to get out of town once in a while? We are just a few hours drive from Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Columbus. And, with one of the lowest cost of living rates in the US, you can live comfortably (read that as thrive) here.
We offer all the bells and whistles including a generous salary with bonuses, flexibility, PTO, paid memberships, insurance, and 401k match, to name a few. Plus, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit you may qualify for student debt forgiveness!
